6.1 Open the title workdesk.

 To open title workdesk

6.1.1 The title number will appear at the bottom right hand side of the application workdesk screen. Highlight this by clicking on it.

6.1.2 Click "Amend" key. You are now in the title workdesk.

6.2 Enter the search sheet number(s) in the search sheet field, click "apply" to confirm and "yes" to save.

3. Whole subjects or part of the subjects on more than one search sheet are disponed, assigned or leased.
All search sheet numbers should be added, if possible. However, this field has a limit of 30 characters. If it is not possible to add all the numbers, add the first number preceded by "inter alia". To view the other search sheets in the example below, the searcher must look at search sheet 87651 where the other search sheets will be listed.

6.3 Check the "Heritable Securities" section of the application form for the DIR to determine whether a search for heritable securities was carried out by the submitting agent and if so, identify the date the search was certified to.

6.4 If a certified search was carried out by the agent, examine the search sheet and the presentment book (via a places search on CSR) and identify if any deed (with the exception of advance notices) has been presented or recorded between the search date certified on the application form and the date of registration of the application. 

6.4.1 If the application form indicates that no search has been carried out, the legal settler will examine the search sheet.

6.5 Add a note to the application workdesk to confirm details of the deed search.

6.5.1 Click on the "Application N & I" tab.

6.5.2 Click "Add".

6.5.3 Right click inside the blank note to bring up a picklist, and select the relevant note. 

6.5.4 Add the relevant information to the note.

6.5.5 Click "OK".

6.6 If no deeds have been recorded between the search date on the application form and the registration date, no note is required.

6.6.1 If any deeds have been recorded between the search date on the application form and the registration date, add the following note, using LRS autotext: "[Deed type] recorded [date] on [CSS number]", and repeat for each applicable deed.

6.6.2 If the application form indicates that no heritable security search was carried out, add the following note, using LRS autotext: "No search completed. Examine [search sheet number(s)]"
