SAF- Sasine Application Form - Sift Instructions

Some deeds need to be recorded in the sasine register as well as the land register. This is referred to as dual registration.

How will I recognise the SAF characteristic?

  • The application will include a Sasine Application Form as a live application.
  • The CMS may include a note stating that the deed has been recorded in sasines, or quoting a sasines UID number.
  • On LRS, the Further Information box may state “dual registration”.

What else do I need to know?

  • Look out for the TCA case characteristic, as TCA deeds often need to be dual registered in the sasine register.
  • The SAF should be submitted as a live application. However on occasion, solicitors include the SAF as a supporting document instead. If this is the case for your application, please follow this flowchart to decide what to do.
