Rejection reason identified

 

1.1 One or more rejection reason identified.

  • Mandatory fields on form not completed (name and designation of all parties, intended deed type and property description)

  • Property description does not make reference to sasine deed(s)

  • Incorrect county in either the “County” field or in the reference description in the “Description of the Subjects” field on the application form

  • Form not signed

  • Manual amendments made on printed form

  • No plan or wrong plan attached (application over part)

  • Plan does not clearly delineate boundaries (application over part)

  • Non-registrable intended deed type

  • Plot is already registered in the Land Register

If payment method is by cheque: 

  • Cheque not submitted

  • Cheque is for the wrong amount (a separate cheque for £10 must be submitted with each advance notice application i.e. a single £30 cheque for 3 advance notices is not acceptable)

  • Cheque not signed dated and/or made to an acceptable payee

  • Cheque amount in words does not match the amount in numbers

  • Cheque post-dated or dated more than 6 months ago.

2.1 Open  and complete all fields.

 

2.1.1 Enter appropriate reason(s) for rejection.

2.1.2 Where the reason for rejection is that the plot has already been registered in the land register by keeper induced registration, the following wording should be used in the rejection letter:

"It has not been possible to record the advance notice in the Register of Sasines because the subjects were transferred to the land register by keeper induced registration. The subjects are registered under title number [insert title number], please submit the appropriate land register advance notice application."

 

2.2 Print and check rejection letter.

2.3 Place rejection letter, documents and cheque (if applicable) in tray for odd jobs officer.
