Additional Information

Referral officer/registration officer

6.1 Check the L14 is complete and the original deed is attached:

  • If the deed has been accepted and recorded in the Sasine Register, proceed to register as normal. If further examination results in the deed being rejected from the Land Register, follow appropriate Post Intake Rejections process and consider if note needs to be added to sasine minute.
  • If the deed was unacceptable and has not been recorded in the Sasine Register, check the rejection reason detailed on the L14.

6.2 Consider if the application must be rejected in the Land Register for the same reason or refer if necessary.

6.3 If it is appropriate for the application to proceed in the Land Register, contact the agent to confirm if they wish to proceed.

6.4 If the agent wishes to proceed:

  • Add a note to the application workdesk to confirm application withdrawn in sasines but to proceed in the Land Register.
  • Proceed to register in the Land Register.

6.5 If the application is to be cancelled in the Land Register, follow the appropriate Post Intake Rejections process.
