Advance Notice 35 Day Calculator
The purpose of this page is to provide registration officers with a method of quickly calculating two different periods:
- To calculate the 35 day protected period for the deed under examination (Scenario 1).
- To check whether a competing deed or registration in the ROI was received within that period (Scenario 2).
Scenario 1
- To use the calculator for the first scenario, type the date that the advance notice was entered in the application record into the "date" field and click on "
Return
" or "Enter
" on your keyboard. (The date should be entered in dd/mm/yy format) - The "Result" field will then show the date of the last day of the protected period - i.e. if the intended deed is received after that date then it is not protected.
 Â
Scenario 2
- To use the calculator to calculate a 35 day period prior to your application, type the date of your application into the "date" field and click on "
Return
" or "Enter
" on your keyboard. (The date should be entered in dd/mm/yy format) - The "Result" field will then show the first date on which any other deed or entry in the ROI may 'compete' with your application, and you need to look for an advance notice for your deed.Â
