1.12 Industrial Units
In some instances, industrial units may be found in the gazetteer.
- If an industrial unit is included within the gazetteer, the description of the unit is normally included within the sub-building or house/building name fields.
- The name of the industrial estate can be included within the house/building name, street/thoroughfare or locality fields, depending on the information available.
- You may wish to check the page Localities and Post Towns in Scotland for industrial estates which are actually listed as localities.
Where localities, towns and postcodes are to be included, the relevant guidelines for these fields should be followed.
