PIP 1/2014 New Plans Referral Form

Plans Information Paper 1/2014: New Plans Referral Form

The Plans Working Group recently undertook a review of the current plans referral form to ensure it meets current and future requirements in line with Freedom of Information enquiries and the introduction of the LR Act 2012.

The updated form is designed to encourage the settler to fully research and consider the issues. Once completed the referral should include a description of the problem, what has been researched and considered (including all back up information to support this) and where possible should include proposed outcomes.

A further aim of the new form is to provide a consistent approach to referrals which can then be used as a tool to develop plans staff. A referral form which hasn't been completed as required may be returned to be updated to include further or more detailed information.

The form is on word format and should be completed and stored electronically in a shared folder. This will enable referral responses by Plans RO1s and SCWs to be saved to the original Plans Referral Form which will also simplify the archive process of referrals to a single document. All referrals will still be archived along with associated extracts and prints.

The shared folders can be found in O/Production/REG2/Public for Reg 2 referrals and O/Production/REG3/Public for referrals created in Reg 3. Each team within the business unit will have its own folder.

The revised form should be used from now on throughout the plans environment and can be found in Section 8.12.1 of the Plans Manual.
