- Confirmation is the ratification by a court of an appointment of Executor and constitutes a title to take possession of, administer and dispose of the deceased’s property.
- A Certificate of Confirmation is a supplementary document certifying that confirmation has been issued and that the estate included inter alia a single item of estate which is specified on the Certificate.
- An Eik is an addition made to an Inventory by an Executor, so as to include additional property.
- A Docket (or Docquet) names the person entitled to the subjects and is endorsed on the Confirmation or Certificate of Confirmation.
