S3.2 Coding

Coding is the means by which items are put into the Persons and Places Indexes at the front of the Minute Book and allows coded items to be searched on the Computerised Sasine Register. To get an item into the index we use a code "?" and certain letters of the alphabet. While a "?" is always used, the letters of the alphabet vary depending on the kind of entry being made.

Entries being coded should be typed in capitals.
