Cancellation of Card

If for any reason the Card Controller requires a card to be withdrawn (e.g. if staff changes mean that the Cardholder is no longer in the same post), the Card Officer is responsible for retrieving the card and returning it to the Card Controller. The GPC card should be returned to the Card Controller at the address in Contact details for the Card Controller, together with a covering note explaining the circumstances for its cancellation. The Card Controller will notify Royal Bank of Scotland and they will amend the central records.

During the time where the majority of staff are working from home this isn’t possible so the Cardholder should contact the Card Controller relating to card cancellation. They will then destroy the card and the Card Controller will contact RBS to arrange cancellation of the card. The master spreadsheet of all cardholders will also be updated to reflect these changes.
