Introduction to the Land Register archive

The new Land Register archive launched in summer 2022 and is available for all RoS colleagues to use.

It’s a sustainable, cloud-based storage solution for our Land Register documentation. It aims to replace legacy tools such as BOPS and consolidate our archive, so colleagues have one place to find historical documents.

The Land Register archive has over nine million documents, with new ones being added daily.

You can find:

  • All land register documents previously held in BOPS
  • All documents previously held in the ‘Add to BOPS’ folder
  • New Advance Notices
  • Documents manually added by Registration colleagues

In time, documents held in the other archives such as the LR Archive Viewer and the R Drive will also be added, consolidating the archive into a single location.

The new Land Register archive allows colleagues to search for a document using either a Title number, Application number or an Advance notice number. Documents can be viewed, download, upload new documents, as well as flag documents as incorrect (where an error has been made).

Where to find the Land Register archive

All colleagues can access the archive using single sign on. The Land Register archive can be found using ROS Apps or Quick links (under the tools section).
