Process to add a new deed code
The new deed code process will allow any team members to raise a requirement for a new deed code. The team member should follow the deed code checklist guidelines below prior to sending a request via email to the RoD Team Leader (TL).
Deed Code Checklist
Check the revised deed code list for a suitable deed type.
If a suitable code isn't available, investigate if this deed type might have a different name and check the list for that.
If there is still no suitable deed type, investigate if this is a new type of deed being introduced and / or a new one commonly being requested by customers.
Once a genuine need for a deed code has been identified, the TL should approach RPT via email request.
The Registration Practice Team (RPT) will be responsible for accepting/rejecting the new deed code and will act as the gatekeepers for all new deed codes being added/rejected. Either way, the TL will be informed of RPT’s decision via email.
In the final step, the TL will raise a RoSNow ticket to request the new deed code, the request will be picked up by the development team responsible for creating the new deed code. Once created, the dev team will close the RoSNow ticket which in turn will send a resolved email to the TL who requested the new deed code letting them know that the requested deed code has been added successfully.
The process below highlights the flow that should be followed to ensure that a new deed code request is submitted and completed in a timely manner.
