Add/Remove Applications

Add Applications

If you need to add LRS application details to an LR case (e.g. the deed is over 2 titles but there is only 1 auto-created application) then use the Add Applications action.

  • Select the Add Application action from the Actions menu.
  • Click Add Application in the APF where you need to add the LRS application.
  • Type in the new LRS application number and click Get Application Details.
  • Click Submit.

Remove Applications

If there is an unnecessary LRS application in your LR case (e.g. for a shared plot title) then use the Remove Applications action to delete the application details from the LR case.

  • Select the Remove Application action from the Actions menu.
  • Select the application that you need to remove.
  • Type the reason that you need to remove it in the box that appears.
  • Click Submit.
    • The application details will now be deleted from CMS.
    • You will need to deal with the LRS application separately as appropriate.

Swapping Applications

If you need to cancel an LRS application but you are creating a replacement LRS application and want the CMS case to remain live (e.g. if the application was created over a title in the wrong county) then this needs to be done in a particular order.

  • First check whether you can make changes to correct the existing LRS application.
  • If you cannot re-use the existing LRS application then:
    • Create a new/correct LRS application.
    • Use the Add Applications action in CMS to add the details of the new LRS application (steps as described above).
    • Use the Remove Applications action in CMS to remove the details of the incorrect LRS application (steps as described above).
    • Cancel the incorrect application in LRS as per the Application Created in Error process.
    • Use the Synchronise with LRS action to ensure that the CMS case has the correct details.
    • Then carry on processing the case with the new LRS application.

If the LRS application is cancelled before it is removed from the CMS case then this will break the CMS case and it will need to be re-scanned before you can proceed with processing.
