Check for common areas

2.1 Check the RA / titles within the RA (including sasines titles) for any common areas.

2.2 If there are no common areas within the RA / titles within the RA (including sasines titles), or all common areas are within a tenement steading extent and only common to the flats within that tenement (taking the 25 metre rule into consideration), proceed to Plans - Flatted Properties with no Common Areas - KIR (Public).

  • If it is not clear whether common areas exist, or, if it is not clear that a common area falls within a tenement steading and is only common to the flats within that tenement, refer the application.

2.3 If there are common areas (outwith tenement steading extents) within the RA / titles within the RA (including sasines titles), proceed to Plans - Flatted Properties with Common Area(s) - KIR (Public).
