PV 4 - How do I search on the map?
Point search
Select the point search button in the Search box and then click on the point of the map to be searched.
All titles and indexes at that point will be listed in the search result box. The titles that are classed as Top Result will be displayed above a dividing line. Titles classed as Top Result are those that include the smallest polygon sitting under the search point dropped on the map canvas. These results are ordered by newest title number first. All other search results continue to be displayed below the dividing line. Indexes will continue to be presented below titles and will not appear as part of the Top Result list.
Please be aware of the following when using point search and interpreting the Top Results:
A full investigation of all search results is still best practice in all cases. |
Please note that a point search within a development where the titles have the development extent plotted on the cadastral map will return a result of all titles within that development extent in the search results. The Top Result function should help identify the particular title you are interested in however each title in the results list may need to be interrogated to identify the particular title being searched for.
Area search
Select the area search button in the Search box.
Draw a polygon around the part of the map that you wish to search. Double click the left-hand mouse button to finish.
The polygon you have drawn will turn grey and the results in the search box will list all titles and indexes that are within or intersect this area. |
