Use the computerised sasine register (CSR/CSS) to search and view electronic search sheets. CSR was introduced in 1994 and completely replaced the old second series search sheet two years later.
Between 1994 and 1996, you may find sasine minutes in CSR, even when the search sheet was still being kept as a paper copy. In that case, you will still need to view the second series (paper) search sheet.
The CSR is a legacy IT system, and can be complex to use. Unless you're already familiar with CSR, you may find it easier to search for electronic sasines information using ScotLIS.
Where will I find CSS/CSR?
There's an icon on your desktop. You will need a username and password.
I've looked on CSS/CSR and I can't find the information I'm looking for. Where else should I look?
Check that it's definitely a computerised search sheet. Between 1984 and 1986, some sasine minutes appear in CSR even when there is no computerised search sheet. You'll find the search sheet in BOPS or ScotLIS.
