ScotLIS

ScotLIS is our public-facing land information service. It can be used by members of the public, as well as by solicitors, private searchers, and any business which requires access to our registers. Anyone can access basic property information on ScotLIS free of charge. By logging in to ScotLIS, you also get access to our registers.

Land Register

Use ScotLIS to search and view the land register. ScotLIS provides easy access to completed title sheets, including the title plan, and to pending applications. It does not provide access to the Land Register Archive or the business record.

Sasine Register

Use ScotLIS to search the sasine register and to view search sheets. ScotLIS provides seamless access to both imaged and electronic search sheets, allowing you to swap easily between them. It does not provide access to first series search sheets.

Where will I find ScotLIS?

On the RoSnet front page - right at the foot of the page. You'll need a username and password to view anything more than the most basic information.

I've looked on ScotLIS and I can't find the information I'm looking for. Where else should I look?

  • Use LR Archive Viewer, BOPS, or CMS to view the Land Register Archive and business record.
  • Use BOPS to view first series search sheets, and the deed search tool to view sasine deeds.
  • If you don't have a login for ScotLIS, use BOPS or CSR to search and view search sheets.

Is there any self-guided learning?

Once you've logged in to ScotLIS, use the 'Take a Tour' option.
