Create a KIR House Plot Title Using the Index Map

Process Steps

The function buttons are on the left hand side of the screen, under the heading /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455022. Instructions to select a function button will be shown in BOLD text on this page.

1.1 Select the application from the /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455073 list. The Ordnance map should now be visible.

1.2 Click /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455267 and click on the map screen to zoom in on the subjects. To zoom in and out use the /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455267 and /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455267 buttons, and to move around the map use /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455267. Make sure that the full extent of the subjects are shown on the DMS screen - this ensures that all the index entries that affect it will show up. (It is helpful to zoom in on the subjects when searching the index map, because it will list fewer index entries and make it easier to see what affects the subjects.)

1.3 Click /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455340. This will open a new window.

1.4 Click SEARCH, LIST ALL, DISPLAY ALL. This will display all the possible index entries that could affect the subjects. This is important, because it will show if there has been a live application over the KIR subjects.

If there is a live FR application for the property, a Plans Report, or if there is an advance notice, STOP the KIR application for that property and refer to senior officer.

A search for separate file types can be done using the TITLES, INDEX, REPORTS, and PRE-MAPS buttons. For example, to see only index entries like RA or KIR, click INDEX. To see registered titles, click TITLE.

1.5 Click /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455340. This will open a new window.

1.5.1 Click POINT, then click on the subjects.

1.5.2 A list of numbered index entries that affect the subjects will now appear in this new window.

1.5.3 Under the Type/Tenure column, look for the file named KIR.

1.5.4 The KIR will be numbered under the Marker column. Note that marker number (e.g. no. 3) and click DISMISS

1.6 In the larger index map window look under the marker column for the number noted above (no. 3), and look along the row to ensure it is the index is called KIR. (Note: If the marker number is clicked, this will not select the KIR. Instead use the number immediately to the left of that, in the first column).

1.7 Click DISPLAY. The houses mapped on the KIR file will appear on the DMS map screen. On the screen, a red edge will now surround the subjects.

1.7.1 At the top of the drawing tool, there is a small /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/65831217, and there are two options under set snap level. Click INDEX MAP.

1.7.2 Click on the red edge for the house plot.

1.7.3 Back on the main function keys area, click /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/65831198, then /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/65831198.

1.8 On the larger index map window, click Dismiss. Only the red edge for the house plot should now be visible on the DMS screen.

1.9 Click on the /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455267 button and then on the seed point to centre the seed point on the screen. The zoom level should show the whole subjects and adjacent properties.

1.10 Click on the /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/65831078 button, /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455077 the application.

1.11 In the /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/62685218, found under Title Admin in the Syntegra Menu (Number 6), Complete the DMS Case Notes following the KIR Instructions.

1.11.1 Enter the following note under the address: "Title Mapped from KIR Index"

1.11.2 To save the DMS Case Notes, click F3 function on the keyboard.

1.12 /wiki/spaces/2ARM/pages/64455077 the application.
