12.0 Viewing Scanned Images in Plan Creator

Scanned images assigned to existing titles can be viewed within a DCU.

Details of how to assign or retain existing scanned images when working on a title in the Plan Creator can be found in the Further Guidance section Assigning Scanned Supplementary Plans in the Plan Creator.

Guidance on the historic and current uses of scanned images can be found in the Further Guidance section Supplementary Plans, SPLs & Supplementary Data.

In the Plan Creator, when you open a DCU over an existing registered title (for example, you are working on an FA, a DW or an RR), the references already mapped in that title will be listed in the left hand Classifications panel.

If the title has scanned supplementary plans (scanned images) assigned to it, these will now be listed in the panel below any mapped references and groupings.

By selecting the binocular icon  , a pdf image of the scanned image will be displayed in a separate window.

If the title has multiple scanned images assigned to it, these will be shown as a list in the panel.

Please note, the automated serial number (-1, -2, -3 etc) given to the scanned image during the auto-conversion process will merely ensure the positioning of the converted scan within the structure of the title and is NOT guaranteed to reflect the position originally assigned by the DMS mapping. Before referring to the image in a title note or the property section, you must check the true numbering in the title sheet.
