Application Number, Title Number, and Basic Details

What follows is a guide to the various sections of the LRS Application Workdesk. Those sections marked (*) are fields open to update by Intake.

Application number, type and status

The application number is used to uniquely identify each individual application. It contains a note of the year the application was created (03 in the above example), the county it was created in (e.g. FFE), followed by an annual running number. This number is automatically assigned by the LRS. The type of application is denoted by its abbreviation (i.e. TP, DW or FR). This is followed by a further letter representing the current status of the application. These include:

P – Provisional
K – Confirmed
K*n – Confirmed – generate Public Next Application Note upon completion
K*r – Confirmed – to be retained upon completion
C – Complete
R – Retained
X – Cancelled
D – Deleted

Upon creating an application and opening the application workdesk the LRS automatically defaults this field to P. It is only once all the necessary details have been completed and the application confirmed that the status will change to K.

Title number and status

The Title Number is used to uniquely identify each individual subject or property (as opposed to each application) registered within the Land Register. It consists of a note of the county (FFE in the above example) followed by a running number generated when the subjects are registered for the first time.

This is followed by an abbreviation denoting the current status of the title. These include:

DFu – Draft unconfirmed
DFc – Draft confirmed
RG – Registered
DA – Draft Amalgamated/Absorbed
AM – Registered as Amalgamated/Absorbed

All applications created within Intake will have the status of DFu until confirmed.

Parent

The Parent Title Number appears only when creating Transfer of Part or Transfer Attached applications. It is a note of the Title Number the subjects were originally a part of (its parent) before being conveyed separately from the rest of that title and receiving its own unique number.

Application date

The date the application was created. This is automatically completed by LRS and should not be updated or amended without Team Leader consent.
