Searching the Land Register Archive

The archive lets you view and download Land Register documents which have been archived. You can see:

  • All land register documents previously held in BOPS
  • All documents previously held in the ‘Add to BOPS’ folder
  • New Advance Notices
  • Documents manually added by Registration colleagues

Begin a search

To begin a search click on the ‘Search and view the archive’ link on the homepage.

Enter a Title number, Application number or an Advance Notice number to search the archive. Click ‘Continue’ to search the archive.

Searching by a title number will return a list of applications which have documents archived. Applications without archived documents will not be displayed.

If there is more than one application, there is a ‘Application type filter’ which can be used to filter out the different application types.

Click on the application number to see all the documents associated with the application.

Occasionally a document will not have an application number, such as a Post Registration enquiry.

In this scenario the application number will be ‘Not applicable’. To view the documents, click on the ‘not applicable’ link.

To being a new search click the ‘Search the archive again’ link at the bottom of the page.
