Legal Settle - KIR (Public)

Introduction

The Research Area folder (RA folder) (held in the O:\LR Completion\Public\Public sector KIR\RAs\In Progress folder) should contain the address list spreadsheet containing the unregistered addresses.

The KIR title number and application number will be noted in the Timings spreadsheet (held in the O:\LR Completion\Public\Public sector KIR\Timings folder) against the RA.

The RA folder may also contain:

  • an annotated JPG file showing
    • the Research Area (RA) overlayed with all registered titles
    • unregistered subjects that have been sold/carried out (marked with an orange or pink cross)
    • where there are multiple sasines carryouts, unregistered subjects still owned by the council or other public body ("the council"), (marked with a blue cross).

The annotations referred to above are now added to Plan Viewer directly and can be viewed there. Be aware, however, that annotations on Plan Viewer can be amended; consequently any annotations made at the initial examination stage may have been amended prior to legal settle.

  • a copy of the annotated search sheet(s) (or parts of it) highlighting:
    • registered properties (noted in green text)
    • unregistered properties (noted in orange text)
    • any deeds requiring further consideration e.g. deeds of servitude, leases, deeds where no address has been provided in the minute, dual recorded dispositions
    • advance notices for properties not yet registered
  • details of any issues identified when the research area and search sheet were examined
  • details of any tenement blocks whose address cannot be matched to UPRN addresses and any resultant additional KIR titles.
