Departmental Split of Cadastral Unit

In terms of s.13(2) and (3) of the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act 2012, the Keeper may divide a cadastral unit and, on dividing the cadastral unit, the Keeper may combine any of the resultant parts with a different cadastral unit. In terms of s.13(4), the Keeper must make such changes to the register as are necessary in consequence of anything done under subsections (2) and (3).

Process

Where a request has been included with an application or it is identified that a departmental split would be beneficial to the Keeper, the split should be considered and authorised by a senior caseworker.
