Initial Examination - TP Legal - Tenement Non Instructional

Process Steps

Additional Information

1.1 Complete a title search of the Grand Parent Title (GPT) being the Parent Title (PT) number for the new tenement steading; arrange in date order.

1.1.1 Consider if any DW/PT application(s) affect TPs/GPT and, if necessary, request from support and settle, if it is appropriate to do so. If there is more than one DW:

    • Identify all of the DWs that can be settled.
    • Check/print any notes and instructions for each DW application to be settled before attaching on LRS.
    • Attach DW(s) to the earliest application.
    • Use the earliest application to complete Parent Title update and ensure the correct title version of the title sheet is used.

1.2 Select the Address button on the LRS and verify that no applications relating to flats within the tenement steading are still pending against the Grand Parent title number.

1.2.1 If there are, email TP Support to request the PT number of current TP applications be amended to the PT number for the new tenement steading.

1.3 Take on the tenement steading TP application (the PT), the TP application (the flat) and any pending DW applications over the GPT and the PT number on LRS.
