6.1 If your shared plot application is an FS application, proceed to step 6.3.
6.2 If your shared plot application is an AS application, proceed to step 6.14.
6.3 Use the guidance in Creating a DCU to open a new DCU for editing in the Plan Creator
6.4 Map the shared plot cadastral unit, referring to the deed(s) for extent, and using an appropriate mapping style.
6.4.1 Take account of the tolerances of the OS map scale. The Check Information button in the Plan Creator allows you to check the accuracy, currency and description of an OS map feature.
6.4.2 Follow RA instructions on mapping style, references to be brought forward, or specific colours to be used (if the style suggested in an RA is no longer appropriate with the move from the DMS to the PC, ask a referral officer to consider updating the instructions).
6.4.3 Where appropriate, follow the mapping style of any PRs.
6.4.4 Ensure that all mapping in the shared plot cadastral unit is Vector Perfect.
6.5 Where the shared plot cadastral unit is affected by a railway boundary, follow the guidance on mapping that boundary.
6.6 Where the shared plot cadastral unit adjoins water, follow the guidance on How to identify natural water boundaries.
6.7 Check the hectarage of the shared plot cadastral unit using the polygon information in the left hand panel of the Plan Creator, and take a note if it measures 0.5 hectares or greater than 0.5 hectares.
6.8 Check for rights, burdens and servitude rights that are fully described within the following deeds and specifically affect the shared plot:
6.8.1 Incorporate any plans references for such rights, burdens and servitudes into the mapping of the shared plot cadastral unit. The groupings functionality can be used in complex cases to show some plans references for rights, burdens and servitudes on an Additional Cadastral Map View.
6.8.2 If a right, burden or servitude cannot be mapped but is to be included in the title sheet (see Plans References for Rights, Burdens and Servitudes), take a note of this.
6.8.3 Provide a plans reference for any rights or burdens relating to a particular boundary feature.
6.8.4 If a previously registered servitude exists that affects the shared plot cadastral unit (noted at step 2.13), check that this is co-extensive with the reciprocal servitude referred to in the deeds within your application.
6.9 Ensure that the correct Classifications have been applied to all plans references in your DCU.
6.10 Do your final checks.
6.11 Save your DCU in Plan Creator.
6.12 Within the Plan Viewer, search for and display your DCU.
6.12.1 In the right hand panel, enter the application number associated with your DCU and Approve the plan.
6.13 Proceed to next process - Add LRS Information - FR Plans - RA - Tenement - External Shared Plots
6.14 If only an additional share is being added to an existing shared plot cadastral unit, there may be no requirement to re-open it in the Plan Creator.
6.14.1 Using the Plan Viewer, check the accuracy of the mapping of the shared plot cadastral unit.
6.14.2 If the existing shared plot cadastral unit was originally mapped in the DMS, consider whether it would benefit from being updated to the Plan Creator style of mapping.
6.14.3 Consider if any additional plans references are required for rights, burdens and servitude rights that are fully described within the following deeds and specifically affect the shared plot:
6.14.4 If, after considering the points above, there is no need to update or alter the mapping of the existing shared plot cadastral unit, proceed directly to the next process - Add LRS Information - FR Plans - RA - Shared Plots.
6.14.5 If an update or alteration is required to the mapping of the existing shared plot unit, proceed to step 6.15.
6.15 Use the guidance in Creating a DCU to open a new DCU for editing in the Plan Creator
6.16 If the DIR or deed for extent contain any rights, burdens or servitudes that require additional references, or if any other amendments are required to the cadastral map for the shared plot, refer to the referral officer to consider the effect on the other registered sharing plots.
6.17 Make any necessary updates to the mapping of the shared plot cadastral unit.
6.18 Ensure that the correct Classifications have been applied to all plans references in your DCU.
6.19 Do your final checks.
6.20 Save your DCU in Plan Creator.
6.21 Within the Plan Viewer, search for and display your DCU.
6.12.1 In the right hand panel, enter the application number associated with your DCU and Approve the plan.
