Support officer


  • Date stamp enquiry.
  • Search title no. on LRS noting details of application causing perceived inaccuracy being application no., application type, despatch date and settlers name.
  • Look up FAS no. of enquirer.
  • Log enquiry in Post Registration Enquiries Log.
  • If application settled within 5 years, complete referral sheet and send enquiry in black casebag to settler's team leader.
  • When casebag returned to Post Registration Enquiries team, update log and place on relevant shelf in section.
  • If application settled outwith 5 years or settler no longer in registration, put enquiry in folder and place folder in relevant tray in section.




Rectification officer


Enquiries retained in section:

  • Examine enquiry checking archive records to establish if there is an inaccuracy
  • Establish if inaccuracy can be fixed by rectification and if so create RR application
  • Settle RR application
  • Complete notification letter/ email for affected parties to notify any parties affected by the rectification
  • Respond to agent if no rectification
  • Update Post Registration Enquiries Log
  • Scan all correspondence



Enquiries sent to settlers and returned to Post Registration Enquiries team in black casebags:

  • Create RR application
  • Settle as instructed on referral sheet
  • Print updated title sheet and send settler's LR09 letter in casebag to agent
  • Update Post Registration Enquiries Log
  • Scan all correspondence



Note: The perceived inaccuracy should always be considered in line with the guidance available from Rectifications - Decision Tree and Notes.
