Rectifications - Outcome 3 - Note the Inaccuracy

Process Steps

Additional Information

5.1 Complete an application record search and identify if there is live application prior to the date of the need for rectification.

5.1.1 If there is no live application create a Rectification application.

5.1.2 If there is a live application over the title which precedes the date of the need for rectification being established, refer to a Rectifications senior caseworker.

 Pending Live Application Identified

If a title to be rectified has an outstanding live application, reference should be made to a Rectifications senior caseworker to consider how to proceed. This may require:

1) The completion of the rectification using the live application.

2) The outstanding application to be expedited.

3) A delay to the rectification until outstanding casework is completed.

4) Consideration of the dating of the rectification of a title sheet.

5.2 Note the Inaccuracy by adding the relevant note from the picklists in the title sheet as appropriate.

5.3 If appropriate, draft letter to solicitor advising of outcome.

5.4 Copy any enclosures to be returned to solicitor if appropriate.

5.5 If appropriate, draft response to Registration with appropriate instructions for any live applications.

5.6 Update the Post Registration Enquiries Log.

5.7 Ensure copy of correspondence and relevant documentation are scanned with application.

5.8 Issue correspondence/response as appropriate.
