Cancel Shared Plot Application - Legal Settle

Process Steps

Additional Information

 Cancel Shared Plot Application Only

A.1 Identify reason for cancelling shared plot application.

A.2 Add a note on the shared plot application workdesk to identify the lead application (the sharing plot application) the shared plot application was linked to and the cancellation reason.

 Example

AS application 15MID01234 is linked to FR application 15MID01000.

Note: AS Application linked to FR 15MID12345 - AS application not required as application created in error.

The lead application number must be included in the note as once the shared plot application has been unlinked from the sharing plot application, it will not be possible to identify on the system which application it was originally linked to.

A.3 Add a further note to the shared plot application workdesk with instructions for the cancellation officer.

A.3.1 If the shared plot application is an FS or TS application instruct the cancellation officer to cancel the title.

A.3.2 If the shared plot application is an AS instruct the cancellation officer to cancel the application only.

A.3.3 Inform the cancellation officer that this is an internal cancellation and that no rejection fee will apply and no correspondence is to be sent.

A.4 Add a note on the title workdesk for the lead application to instruct the shared plot relationship to be removed and any updates to be made on the DMS and refer to PLANS SETTLE.

 Example

Note: Plans Settler - AS Application 15MID012345 not required as created in error. Please unlink AS application from FR and update DMS.

A.5 On return from plans ensure the shared plot application has been released to LEGAL or PLANS CANCEL and proceed to complete registration of the lead application.

A.5.1 As the shared plot application is an internal application no correspondence should be sent and no notification will be generated on cancelling the shared plot application.
