S4.11 Subsequent Transactions
As regards places minuting, you should aim to minute the best possible description of the subjects conveyed. Once the best possible description has been minuted, it should be continued in all future transactions.
Note: It is not necessary to introduce common indexable items into the minute in order to “link" a subsequent transaction to the Granter's title.
e.g.:
Search Sheet:
ground, bounded on north by BROWN STREET, AYR described in Disp. to…….
Subsequent Transaction Deed:
Area of ground, with house 12 Black Street, Ayr, thereon, bounded on north by Brown Street, described in ……
Subsequent Transaction Minute:
ground, with house ?q12?nBLACK STREET?z, AYR thereon, referred to in …..
Since 12 Black Street is the best possible description of the subjects, there is no need to introduce Brown Street into the minute.
