Posting Batches - eFin

Once all the applications have been processed through eFinancials and created on LRS, the batch must be posted.

Cash on Account Screen

7.1 Update the “Total” field to reflect the figure shown below in the 'Entered' box.

7.2 Click the tickbox next to Ready to Post.

7.3 Click Save and close this screen.

 

Mark cash batches for posting

7.4 From the main menu open Mark Cash Batches for Posting.

7.5 Check the Batches Ready to Post box is marked.

 

7.6 Click next to the Sales field.

7.7 Type SL2 in the small Sub Ledger field and then press Enter or Return on the keyboard to populate the Currency field etc.

7.8 Click Details. The following screen will appear:

 

7.9 Locate the relevant batch from the list and add a tick next to it in the Post column. 

7.10 Click on Post at the bottom of the screen. 

7.11 Click on Close at the bottom of the screen. 

 

Receipts batch report

7.12 From the Main Menu select Receipts Batch Report. The following screen will appear:

 

7.13 In the Value column enter:

  • the sub ledger as SL2
  • the Start Batch Reference as the Batch Number to be Posted
  • the End Batch Reference as the Batch Number to be Posted.

7.14 Click Run.

7.15 eFinancials will present a PDF document containing the details of the batch. Confirm the batch is correct and print, if necessary.

7.16 If the batch has been printed check the batch print to ensure the agents appearing on the batch report correspond to the cheques in the batch and that the cheques are bundled in the same order as they appear on the report.

7.17 Place the batch report (and cheques) in a clear plastic folder and secure with a paper clip.

7.18 To prepare the batch and cheques for Finance enter the details of the batch in the Finance folder and place the batch in the dedicated area in the room. The batch must have a post-it note on the batch print with a note of the username, TL's name, batch number, the total amount of cheques and the total amount of direct debit.
